Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Educational Diagnostician position is available within a K-12 school setting in Kenner, LA, serving students during the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis through May 22, 2026. This role requires a dedicated professional with an active Louisiana DOE certification to work approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive educational assessments to identify students' learning needs and eligibility for special education services. Collaborating with educators, parents, and related service providers to develop appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and supporting student success are essential duties. Caseload details, including the number of schools and specific age groups served, will be determined upon placement. Qualifications and Experience: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician Experience assessing K-12 students in diverse educational settings Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel Skilled in data interpretation and development of IEPs Location: Kenner, Louisiana Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch) Monday through Friday, aligned with the school calendar This position offers a structured work schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.
