Overview As the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk, you will provide friendly, courteous service to customers, maintain cleanliness, replenish and rotate the cheese and deli displays, and assist customers throughout the shift. The position includes two shifts and requires physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 lbs.
Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service.
Assist customers throughout the shift.
Clean and maintain the bulk deli department.
Replenish product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant.
Clean, fill, and rotate cheese and deli displays.
Stand, walk, kneel and lift up to 60 lbs as required.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Apply common sense in carrying out written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Food Handler Card (or equivalent) is required.
Bonus Skills
Basic PC/Outlook skills.
Retail Management Certificate.
