About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to provide leadership and support for all credit department operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit policy and performance across various credit types, leading the credit team, and ensuring the quality of the lending portfolio. This includes high-quality credit analysis, portfolio stress testing, and compliance with loan growth goals. The Chief Credit Officer will also be a key member of the leadership team, involved in various committees, and will assist in coordinating external loan audits and regulatory examinations.
Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of experience in financial/credit analysis and lending, with a strong background in C&I lending. Management experience is required, and a formal bank management executive school or financial industry-related degree program is preferred. The role demands the ability to create and analyze credit presentations, business correspondence, and loan policies, as well as the skill to interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing the special assets area, maintaining relationships with the SBA, and supporting various guaranteed loan programs.
