About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be the senior manager responsible for maintaining and setting loan policy, managing the credit and loan closing processes, and providing oversight of the credit granting process. This role involves approving major credit exposures, managing the day-to-day credit department and loan closing process, and setting credit standards for lending. The Chief Credit Officer will also be expected to have experience with ALLL analysis narrative and stress test understanding, as well as the ability to manage a team and work with a variety of internal and external contacts to manage credit exposure.
Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in credit-related positions within community or large banks or financial services firms. The role requires extensive experience in approving complex commercial real estate, C&I lending, SBA lending, and construction financing, as well as substantial delegated credit authority. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in regulatory examinations and preparation in policy, procedures, risk management, and complete credit processes. Additionally, the Chief Credit Officer should be adept at underwriting and structuring complex commercial banking transactions and have the ability to manage a team and train junior underwriters.
