Instructional Designer

University Health is a nationally recognized teaching hospital and network of outpatient healthcare centers, owned by the people of Bexar County. Duties

Designs, develops and implements learning and development programs/initiatives. Works in partnership with department colleagues, subject matter experts and department leaders. Plans and implements the instructional design to ensure the learning solution is effective and engaging.

• Designs and develops eLearning, videos vILT, ILT, and performance support materials, utilizing instructional design best practices.
• Analyzes and creates content based on customers' needs.
• Actively consults and collaborates with the department team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure learning solutions are instructionally sound, applicable, engaging and effective.
• Creates effective pre- and post-learning assessments aligned with training objectives-to successfully measure effectiveness and the transfer of knowledge.
• Stays current on all learning, learning experience design, and talent development trends.
• Establishes respectful working relationships to maximize teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, curriculum and design, adult education, or instructional technology, or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Three to five years of experience implementing adult learning principles in a corporate training, or professional services environment, with an emphasis on elearning and instructor-led training.
• Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe PhotoShop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PeopleSoft.
