A retail pharmacist opportunity is available for a contract-to-hire position specializing in HIV/AIDS medications at a single-pharmacist site. The role is located in Fort Myers, FL, and requires managing a daily volume of 20-35 prescriptions without the assistance of a pharmacy technician. Ongoing training and support will be provided after an initial two-week training period that may require travel to St. Petersburg. Key Responsibilities: Manage retail pharmacy dispensing with a focus on HIV/AIDS specialty medications Provide high-level patient care and support, ensuring clear communication with patients and healthcare providers Maintain reliable and punctual attendance, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude Operate QS1 pharmacy software (experience preferred) Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations in Florida Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Florida pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing strongly preferred and must be documented on resume Ability to work independently without a pharmacy technician on site Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Willingness to travel for 2 weeks of training, Monday through Friday, if requested Benefits and Perks: Competitive contract pay with potential for rate increase based on experience Contract-to-hire opportunity providing potential for long-term employment Ongoing training and support available after initial onboarding period This contract-to-hire position is ideal for a pharmacist committed to patient-centered care in a specialty retail environment.
