divh2Senior Technical Writer/h2pGovCIO is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support enterprise-level IT and cybersecurity programs for the U.S. Coast Guard. This position is in Alexandria, VA, and is a hybrid role./ppResponsibilities:/pulliWrite, edit, and maintain technical documents such as procedure manuals, user guides, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related publications./liliTranslate complex technical data into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for print and digital formats, including websites, training materials, and government proposals./liliAcquire subject matter expertise through interviews with developers, observation of production methods, and review of technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering diagrams./liliOversee preparation of illustrative materials, including drawings, diagrams, charts, and graphics, ensuring alignment with publication objectives./liliConduct quality reviews of documentation for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with USCG and DHS standards./liliDevelop and maintain cataloging systems, records, and archives for technical publications and electronic media./liliAssist in preparing materials for technical seminars, business forums, and presentations as required./liliRecommend and implement best practices for layouts, graphics, and visual elements to enhance comprehension and usability./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliBachelors degree in English, communications, technical writing, information technology, or related field with 8+ years (or equivalent experience)./liliRequired Skills and Experience:/liulliClearance Required: Must have active Secret clearance./liliAbility to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation for varied audiences./liliStrong knowledge of technical writing standards, style guides, and documentation tools./liliExperience with MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint and Agile content management systems./liliExcellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams and stakeholders./liliAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment./li/ulliPreferred Skills and Experience:/liulliExperience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or DHS programs highly desirable./liliUnderstanding of federal documentation standards and compliance requirements./li/ul/ulpCompany Overview:/ppGovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
