Equipment Rebuild to join our team at our Endicott, NY location. In this job, you will be responsible for the changeover of production lines between product runs. This is a hands-on role, and will include disassembly of equipment, cleaning, and re-assembly/set-up, and assisting the process technicians and operators in fine-tuning of the line to run the next product. This position will receive direction from the Maintenance Leadership Team and work closely with the Production team, scheduling and engineering to ensure schedule adherence. There is a $1500 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $750 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $750 paid after 6 months of continuous employment./ppJob Responsibilities/pulliManage day-to-day work activity such as changeovers, PM schedule and repairs/liliEnsure that equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)/liliTroubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance with the maintenance team/liliComplete rebuild planning by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; and resolving problems/liliMaintain inventory of tooling and corresponding manufacturing capabilities on each production line/liliProactively identify opportunities to acquire tooling to increase production capabilities/liliWork with Scheduling and crew Supervisors for prioritization of projects/liliInspect tools before installation, and after removal, to ensure all parts are in good working condition/liliReport on tool performance (initiate tool Work Order form); report any deviation from standard to ensure good performance and perform repairs to installed Tooling to ensure downtime is minimized, able to meet schedule/liliTrain and onboard employees/liliAnalyze data; investigate issues; identify solutions; recommend action/liliWhen production process permits, assist maintenance department in whatever activity needed and assist Production Manager in any tasks that may be required at the time/liliSupport tooling preventive maintenance programs, oversee and coordinate the activities to ensure smooth and efficient operation/liliAssign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance as needed/liliProvide and facilitate effective communication and information flow with other departments/liliRegular engagement with Quality Control in the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures to ensure that products meet the required specifications and standards/liliDrive and maintain safety standards while being an active participant on the safety team/liliMaintain housekeeping according to 5S standards, promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies, and conduct regular safety inspections, provide training on safe work practices, and address any safety concerns promptly/liliProvide training and guidance to staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs/liliMaintain accurate records of activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control results/liliGenerate reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality performance/liliCreates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements/liliIdentify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction/liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, evaluate new technologies, and optimize material utilization/liliOther responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed/li/ulpJob Requirements/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent.
