The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired for the Executive Sales Representative position will work within the Automotive market promoting 3M Attachment Solutions, Thinsulate, and Battery(EV) Solutions. They will work to generate sales within Tier Suppliers as well as support OEM Specified business. A company car will be provided due to the local travel requirements. Develop and manage strong functional relationships, both internally and externally, at all levels (manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, central office) Develop account plans and take action with customers, building value for 3M Product sales responsibility for the following Automotive products:

Lightweighting and Friction Shim Battery Application Products Thinsulate Weather Sealing Product Attachment Solutions including tapes and structural bonding solutions

Utilize effective leadership skills and automotive knowledge to solve complex system challenges with 3M products Resolve challenging problems with sound judgment and problem-solving skills Regular visits with assigned OEM Supplier Accounts, Converters and OEM Accessory Manufactures, with strategic focus on growing 3M sales & penetration. Accountable for sales results, on vehicle penetration, account management activities, and relationship management. Ability to influence decision makers and negotiate long term contracts with complex terms. Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Four (4) years of sales experience in the automotive or industrial space in a private, public, government or military environment Current, Valid Drivers license Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Automotive/Tier 1 Selling Experience Experience working in automotive purchasing environments. Technical background, preferably with adhesives, interior /exterior attachment tapes & films. Data processing/analysis experience using Excel Ability to work independently to deliver sales results, yet confident enough to work within a highly matrixed organization Strong communication skills, oral and written, in English Familiarity and competency with Salesforce software and tools. Proven history of responsiveness and service Experience in developing excellent relationships with customers on all business levels Demonstrated efficiencies in analytical problem solving and product demonstrations Must be self-motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environments and solving problems quickly Location: Detroit, Michigan Sales Territory: Southeast Michigan. Travel: up to 35% and includes overnight travel Relocation: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
