Meter Reader (Local 57 Laramie)
PacifiCorp is seeking customer-centric candidates to grow and sustain our commitment to a culture of customer service excellence, environmental sustainability, inclusion & belonging. As a Meter Reader, you'll read customer meters as required. Customer meters may be located in urban areas as well as very rural areas. Required to locate sites using existing local addressing systems. You may also call on customers whose accounts are delinquent to negotiate full or partial payment and to accept and receipt such payment. Additional tasks as assigned. Requirements: A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be capable of walking 5+ miles per day in all weather conditions. Must pass a validated clerical test. Employees entering this classification must be capable of driving an automobile and possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of safe driving practices in hazardous conditions such as mud, snow, heavy rains, ice, heavy traffic, remote roads, city streets, major highways, and unknown territory Preferences: Prior customer service experience.
