As part of WDS, Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell breakthrough AI‑powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and Silicon providers. We work closely across the device partner ecosystem and internal teams to transform the world of computing.
Opportunities in DPS are expansive. We span the entire product lifecycle from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the device design, and selling them through the Retail, Distribution and Reseller channel, sell‑through to their consumer and commercial customers. As a member of our team, you will be part of a growing multi‑billion‑dollar business, charting new areas of innovation, and contributing to our partnership engagements worldwide. You will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and growth of Windows devices and AI services in partnership with the strength of our device partners ecosystem.
As an Senior Industry Advisor - Advertising , you will have the opportunity to drive industry‑focused sales for Microsoft. This role is responsible for originating sales and driving industry‑led conversations with customers. Accountabilities include developing and winning market‑making opportunities that deliver customer value and enabling transformational customer outcomes. As an Industry Advisor you will be a dedicated advisor in digital business transformation, engaging with decision makers to identify, generate and nurture new business opportunities. You will articulate and position strategic business value and long‑term positive results of using Microsoft’s products, partners and solutions, collaborating with your peers to successfully close deals.

Responsibilities
Drive Industry‑Led Sales Strategy : Lead strategic, industry‑specific sales engagements with advertising and publishing clients, identifying transformational opportunities that align Microsoft’s AI, cloud, and data solutions with customer business outcomes.
Engage CxO Stakeholders : Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior decision‑makers, influencing digital transformation roadmaps and articulating the business value of Microsoft’s technology in the AdTech and media landscape.
Orchestrate Cross‑Functional Execution : Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., ATU, ISD, GPS) and external partners to co‑develop and deliver scalable solutions, pilots, and go‑to‑market strategies that accelerate adoption and drive measurable impact.
Apply Deep Industry Expertise : Serve as a subject matter expert in AdTech, AI, and media innovation—translating market trends and customer needs into actionable insights and repeatable solution plays.
Accelerate Pipeline and Growth : Originate and shape high‑value opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and Microsoft’s ecosystem to drive revenue growth and long‑term customer success.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 5+ years customer‑facing experience in operations, enterprise‑level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry‑relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 7+ years customer‑facing experience in operations, enterprise‑level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry‑relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in the advertising, media, or communications industry, with a proven track record of customer‑facing solution or services sales, including at least 7 years engaging directly with Media & Entertainment clients to drive digital transformation initiatives.
4+ years of experience in the AdTech ecosystem, including a deep understanding of advertising platforms, data‑driven campaign strategies, and how AI is actively transforming publishing workflows and monetization models.
Proven ability to influence and engage CxO‑level stakeholders in the advertising and publishing sectors, with a strong history of originating and closing strategic, industry‑led opportunities that align with Microsoft’s cloud, AI, and data solutions

4+ years of experience AdTech market and Data & AI, with demonstrated experience applying these technologies to transform advertising and publishing workflows—particularly in areas like campaign automation, audience targeting, and content monetization.
4+ years of experience in people management or cross‑functional leadership experience, ideally in a customer‑facing capacity within the Media & Entertainment or AdTech sectors, with a track record of mentoring teams and driving strategic business outcomes through consultative selling.
Industry Advisory IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
