Lead Generation Specialist
to support our sales organization. This role focuses exclusively on prospecting—not selling—and plays a critical part in ensuring our sales team connects with the right prospects at the right time. About the Role The
Lead Generation Specialist
is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales leads through strategic LinkedIn prospecting and CRM management. This role is not making or participating in any sales calls. It is prospecting only, leveraging primarily LinkedIn and collecting data so that the existing sales team can engage. This role serves as a critical link between our Salesforce database and active sales engagement, ensuring our sales team connects with the right prospects at the right time.
How You’ll Make an Impact The Lead Generation Specialist will:
Strengthen our Sales Pipeline
– Provide the sales team with high-quality, well-qualified leads so they can focus on selling rather than research. Keep the data in our business development tools like Salesforce and LinkedIn clean, updated, and aligned, ensuring timely and informed sales engagement.
Drive Prospect Awareness and Engagement
– Build strategic and early engagement, warming up prospects before our sales team steps in.
Examples of Areas of Responsibility
Upload and manage prospect lists from Salesforce into LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Monitor existing prospects for job changes, role transitions, and company moves
Identify new prospects joining targeted accounts
Engage prospects through LinkedIn Messenger following established guidelines and workflows
Comment strategically on posts to build awareness and relationships
Import updated prospect information and job changes into Salesforce
Create and assign follow-up tasks for sales team members
Maintain data accuracy and completeness across both platforms
Execute predetermined workflows to ensure consistent lead handling
Outreach & Engagement
Customize outreach messages and LinkedIn comments based on prospect context and activity
Apply judgment and nuance to engagement strategies within established guidelines
Monitor and respond to prospect interactions in a timely manner
Self-Management
Maintain consistent productivity and focus throughout the workday
Stay on task with minimal supervision
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and engagement strategies
Requirements
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Tech-savvy with ability to quickly learn new software platforms
Strong written communication skills with ability to customize messaging appropriately
Good judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly around personalized outreach
Comfort with nuanced tasks requiring context evaluation
Preferences
Project management or supervisory experience (translates well to the autonomous nature of this role)
Experience with LinkedIn and/or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
Previous experience in lead generation or prospecting roles
Education supportive of business administration, business analysis, and communication skills
