Our client, a leading organization in the insurance and risk management industry, is seeking a
Account Specialist
to join their team. The role is part of the Operations Department supporting client servicing and account management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach that aligns with the organization’s goals.
Job Title Commercial Insurance Account Specialist
Location Bannockburn, Illinois
Pay Range $26-$32/hr
Duration 12 months (potential to extend)
Responsibilities
Assist Account Executives and Brokers with managing assigned accounts and key processes.
Retrieve and process compliance documentation for renewals, invoices, and surplus lines filings.
Support in initiating renewals, processing invoices, issuing auto IDs, and handling client requests.
Mentor and assist junior staff with complex account functions and ensure accuracy of system records.
Participate in client and office visits, and manage special projects related to client accounts.
Qualifications
3-5 years of commercial insurance experience.
Understanding of operational processes and ability to work with moderate supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with VLOOKUP is a plus.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Maintain or obtain an active insurance broker license within six months of hire.
