Primary Care Sales Consultant - Somerset, KY / Louisville, KY
Join Bayer as a Primary Care Sales Consultant. You will implement the sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal products and drive launch activities for an upcoming menopause product. The role involves building relationships with primary care physicians, driving demand, clinical education, and coordinating business plans within the Somerset, KY / Louisville, KY metropolitan area. Travel up to 50% within the territory.
Responsibilities
Build and develop professional relationships with primary care providers and pharmacy staff.
Drive utilization of approved CV and menopause products, collaborating with the Customer Squad.
Leverage expertise in diabetes, menopause marketplace, competitors, and cross‑functional plans to manage business opportunities.
Provideep input to commercial colleagues for strategic and tactical planning.
Develop and implement customer‑specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
Prioritize coverage of specialist physicians based on opportunity and potential.
Meet customer needs while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards.
Anticipate barriers to goal achievement and propose solutions.
Handle customer objections, exceed expectations, and train others regionally when needed.
Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continually improve proficiency.
Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience.
Proven high performance in a sales role.
Demonstrated ability to develop long‑standing customer relationships.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Leadership that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies.
Ability to meet credentialing and safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred
Advanced degree a plus.
5+ years in pharmaceutical sales.
In‑depth knowledge of cardiovascular, diabetes and/or menopause disease states.
Product launch experience.
Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
Virtual sales experience.
Strong local HCP relationships and local market understanding.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,960.00 – $181,440.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, adatt, and sick leave.
