Outside Sales Representative

A local market operations team is seeking an energetic and results-driven In-Person Sales Development Representative to generate new business opportunities with independent and regional restaurant businesses. This field-based role requires visiting restaurant prospects in person, building rapport with decision-makers, and scheduling qualified meetings for the sales team. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and motivated by clear, measurable performance targets. Key Responsibilities
Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects in your territory each week, introducing partnership opportunities and securing qualified meetings for the sales team. Identify owners or key decision makers at each location and build trust quickly during in-person conversations. Deliver a clear, compelling message on how partnership can help restaurants grow sales, reach new customers, and optimize operations. Accurately log each visit, conversation, and meeting outcome in a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Work closely with outside sales account executives to align on target accounts, customer profiles, and follow-up strategies. Plan and prioritize your daily route to maximize quality visits and meetings booked. Follow up with merchants by phone, text, and email after visits to confirm appointments and maintain engagement. Consistently achieve or exceed weekly and monthly goals for meetings set and held. Relay merchant feedback to help inform outreach and product or process improvements. Qualifications
At least 1 year of outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or other customer-facing experience where you were responsible for driving new business or sign-ups. Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or similar environments. Comfortable with a high volume of in-person, short conversations on a daily basis. Ability to confidently communicate partnership benefits and value propositions. Experience working with CRM or sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar systems is a plus. Previous restaurant, food & beverage, or local business experience is advantageous. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or some weekends as needed. Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants. Ability to drive frequently within your assigned sales territory. Capacity to carry light materials (flyers, one pagers, tablet) during visits.
