In-Person Sales Development Representative

Location: Wilson, NC (only local/candidates able to commute) Classification: W2 under Staffing Supplier Compensation: $25.53/hour Visa Sponsorship: Not provided Position Overview: A local market operations team is seeking an outgoing and results-oriented In-Person Sales Development Representative to drive new business partnerships for local restaurants. This field-based role involves visiting restaurants in person, fostering relationships, and booking meetings with decision-makers. The ideal candidate thrives on face-to-face interactions, is motivated by performance targets, and enjoys working independently with real-time impact. Key Responsibilities

Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects weekly within your territory, introducing partnership opportunities and securing qualified meetings for the sales team. Identify owners or key decision makers at each location and build trust quickly during short, in-person interactions. Deliver a clear pitch on how digital ordering, delivery, or partnership programs can help restaurants grow sales and reach new customers. Accurately log each visit, conversation, and meeting outcome in customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Partner closely with account executives to align on target accounts and follow-up strategies. Prioritize and plan daily route to maximize quality visits and meetings booked. Follow up with merchant contacts via phone, text, and email after visits to confirm appointments and maintain engagement. Consistently hit or exceed weekly/monthly goals for meetings set, meetings held, and other performance metrics. Gather and relay market feedback from merchants to help improve outreach and product strategies. Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or similar customer-facing experience focused on driving new business or sign-ups. Background in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or related environments is preferred. Comfortable having frequent, short, in-person conversations every day. Ability to learn and articulate partnership benefits confidently. Experience working with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar CRM/sales tools is a plus. Previous restaurant, food and beverage, or local business experience is an advantage. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Willingness to work business hours appropriate for the restaurant industry, including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends. Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants. Ability to drive frequently within assigned sales territory. Capacity to carry light materials (flyers, handouts, tablet) while working.
