Mechanical Inspector
Day shift inspector needed in a brand new facility located in Santa Ana, CA for an aerospace manufacturer. Ideally looking for experience in composite work. Pay will be based on experience but typically between $30-$40 an hour (possibly higher with experience). This role involves a day shift schedule from 6am to 2:30pm, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and precision of our products. Responsibilities Inspect and measure products to ensure they meet specifications at the point of production. Read and understand different measuring gages and gauge calibration. Perform receiving inspection of components and validate process and test reports. Conduct in-process inspections and generate Nonconformance reports. Read travelers and work with industry and customer specifications. Understand and contribute to the QMS function. Review purchase orders for shipping orders to ensure correct delivery address and prepare paperwork for shipping. Conduct customer source inspections and verify resin mix and composite inspection. Train new inspectors and develop performance metrics. Complete corrective action reports and work with supplier quality issues. Perform internal audits. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years experience in Mechanical Inspection. Proficiency in NDT Ultrasonic Testing, with Level II preferred. Experience with AS 9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Experience with ROMER Arm, PCDMIS, Verisurf, and Polyworks is a big plus. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and scales. Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T. Computer proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in aerospace industry. Familiarity with PC-DMIS, NDT, and the use of portable CMM arms. Understanding of verisurf software. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
