Order Entry Clerk
The Order Entry Clerk is primarily responsible for communicating with customers and entering their orders into the databases. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, is proficient with detail-oriented tasks, and has excellent communication skills. A pleasant and partnership-focused attitude is essential for coordinating activities with other departments and supervisors. Responsibilities: Communicate with customers to receive and confirm orders. Enter orders into the database accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with other departments and supervisors to ensure smooth order processing. Manage paperwork by lifting and moving boxes of files. File and retrieve data by stooping, bending, and reaching as required. Essential Skills: Proficiency in data entry and 10-KEY calculator use. Experience in order processing, entry, and fulfillment. 2+ years of experience in dispatch and corporate customer service, preferably in food and beverage distribution. Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, including Excel and Google Sheets. Comfortable working with numbers and auditing. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in food and beverage distribution is a plus. Work Environment: The work environment is an office setting located within a distribution center trailer, with plans for a new office underway. The hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work possible. The office is small and has tight quarters, fostering a cohesive and tight-knit team atmosphere. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manor, TX. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
