Job Overview The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting with all production elements for network broadcast shows and simulcast shows working beneath the Production Manager. This position includes preparing video elements used for shows and necessary quality control, organizing all show elements and loading them into servers for playback based on show rundowns, working with producers, editors and talent to make sure video and graphical elements are being worked on, correct, and sharing any parts of the videos or graphics with the group. This position will also be asked to perform services as an associate director for network shows and may be asked to direct or produce shows occasionally.
Essential Functions
Work with the production team to help lead the day-to-day production of NYRA TV’s broadcast content, including the live simulcast show, broadcast network shows, and the web-only shows;
Assist with producing detailed schedules and rundowns for all NYRA TV broadcast content
Assist with production of video and graphic elements to air in show.
Assist broadcast talent with needs during and before shows, such as makingҳод sure they have the appropriate paperwork and preview links to videos being used in show.
Work closely with producers, directors, editors and production assistants to assist their needs.
Participate in daily production meetings.
Work as an associate director when needed, communicating with producers, directors, operators, network partners and racetrack partners
Occasionally be asked to direct or producer simulcast or network shows.
Edit videos as needed to be ready for air
Share show clips with other NYRA departments, mediaträ outlets and industry partners.
Produce and direct on-demand shows such as “Stewards Review” and “Bloodhorse Plus” segments
Working with the Production Manager, lead the team of production assistants in terms of dailyorial assignments enaminos;
Assist with managing video folder storage so that producers and videographers are aware of where certain items are placed. Send such items to producers and videographers upon request.
QC videos to ensure they are suitable for air
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent in a communications or media program.
Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to edit with Adobe Creative Cloud
Ability to use digital rundown software, such as Shoflo
Able to communicate quickly and clearly with enfrentar members of the production team.
Multi-tasking during shows to perform multiple duties, including AD, producer or director.
