Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Lender II to be based out of our Overland Park location. This role will also maintain an active presence in Miami County, supporting customers through the mortgage lending process while building strong referral and community relationships. Key Responsibilities
Loan Origination & Client Management
Originate residential mortgage loans by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate loan products. Guide clients through the full loan process, from application to closing. Conduct financial assessments, pre-qualifications, and credit analysis. Prepare and submit complete and accurate loan files for underwriting. Maintain strong relationships with clients, relators, builders, and other referral sources. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all loan documentation complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Maintain accurate records in CRM and loan origination systems. Monitor loan pipeline and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely closings. Business Development & Community Engagement
Actively participate in community events and outreach to build referral networks. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective borrowers through networking and marketing efforts. Cross-sell other bank products and services as appropriate. Training & Mentorship
Serve as a resource and mentor to Mortgage Loan Officer I team members. Stay current on mortgage lending trends, products, and regulatory changes. Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services NMLS registration (active and in good standing) Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and loan documentation Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems (e.g., ENCOMPASS) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field Experience in community banking or local lending market Work Days/Hours (In Person)
Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00 pm Some Saturday's Required
