Position Summary The HR Specialist - Employee Relations & Compliance is the primary owner of employee relations, HR compliance, benefits administration, and risk mitigation. This role ensures consistent policy execution, regulatory compliance, and professional handling of employee matters.
This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused position.
Key Responsibilities

Manage benefits administration and broker relationships
Administer 401(k) compliance and audits
Administer leave programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, LWOP)
Manage unemployment claims and separation compliance
Manage employee relations intake, investigations, and resolution
Administer Performance Improvement Plansphanumeric and documentation
Maintain audit readiness and compliance reporting
Partner with Payroll and HR Operations on compliance and data accuracy
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of HR specialist or employee relations experience
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and benefits administration
Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
Experience handling investigations and sensitive employee matters while maintaining confidentiality
Manage employee benefits to ensure compliance with plan documents and ERISA requirements
Manage the 401(k) Retirement Plan to ensure compliance with IRS and ERISA requirements
Demonstrate competency in the development of quality, on-time deliverables
Participate in knowledge‑sharing opportunities and seek to enhance skills through training and job experience
