The Twin Falls County Assessors Office is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Seasonal Property Tax Reduction (PTR) Program Clerk to assist approximately 1,500 property owners applying for the Idaho State Tax Commission Property Tax Reduction Program (Circuit Breaker) and related Veterans property tax benefit programs. This position plays a key role in helping eligible homeowners navigate a time-sensitive application process with accuracy, professionalism, and courtesy. Employment Period & Schedule Seasonal Position: Late January through mid-April (annually) Work Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week Typical Hours: 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (one-hour lunch Duties / Responsibilities Essential Assist property owners, in person and by phone, with completing Property Tax Reduction (Circuit Breaker) and Veterans program applications Collect, review, and enter applicant information and supporting documentation into office systems Verify application completeness and follow up with applicants regarding missing or additional documentation Answer questions related to eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and required proof of income and expenses Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information Provide courteous, clear, and accurate customer service to the public Additional Assists with e-mail and fax requests Backup for all foot traffic requesting general office information Provides replacement coverage for receptionist when needed Qualifications Knowledge of: Customer service principles and public-facing office procedures Basic office practices and record-keeping English grammar, spelling, and punctuation Basic familiarity with tax or financial forms (preferred but not required) Skill and Ability to: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document review Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of standard office software Ability to follow written procedures and meet firm application deadlines
