About the Position
Our client, a leading international law firm, is actively seeking a real estate lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join as an associate in its Chicago office. This firm’s real estate practice boasts more than 1,000 lawyers worldwide and handles the full spectrum of real estate matters, including investment, project finance, development, construction, leasing, partnership, joint venture formation, and disputes.

Responsibilities
Represent clients, including lenders, investors, developers, and owners, with the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of real property across all major asset classes
Draft and negotiate loan documents, operating agreements and a range of other agreements, including those related to purchase and sale, commercial leases, and development
Handle title and survey review, due diligence, zoning and land‑use analysis, and entity formation matters
Advise clients on construction, development, and joint venture arrangements
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience at a law firm representing clients in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, tax credit transactions, leasing, and/or development matters
New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) and Historic Tax Credits (HTC) experience
Excellent academic credentials
Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $300,000 – $390,000.
