What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Bill third-party claims to governmental payers and perform insurance collection duties on delinquent balances
Review accounts for previous collection activity and manage communications with payers and employers
Document collection activities clearly and concisely for future reference and review
Resolve claim rejections daily and collaborate with supervisors to identify root causes
Assist other Revenue Cycle departments with insurance collection matters and submit secondary claims
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
At least one (1) year of collection or business office experience
Extensive knowledge of governmental billing regulations and collection procedures
Proficiency in claims processing software and governmental payer systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous experience in hospital and/or insurance collections
Familiarity with UB04 data and Third Party Billing guidelines
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Analytical skills for problem-solving in revenue cycle processes
Experience with Medical Records requests and documentation systems
