Locatedin West Omaha, Nebraska, Shadow Ridge Country Club is the area’s premier private family country club, featuring an 18‑hole, 7,100‑yard championship style golf course, recognized for its exciting layout, and superb playing conditions. A recent renovation by golf course architects Jackson/Kahn Design has resulted in transformational aesthetics and playability. Led by Director of Agronomy, Hannah Orr, our course maintenance team maintains a strong commitment to agronomic excellence and attention to detail, with the goal of providing our members and guests with the finest course conditions in the region. Position Overview

Shadow Ridge Country Club is seeking a “working” Superintendent with Midwest ties and experience maintaining bentgrass in our Climate Zone, to work closely under our Director of Agronomy to maintain superior course conditions. The candidate must be hands‑on, hardworking and have an eye for detail. This role is ideal for a superintendent or senior assistant with experience at a high‑end Golf Club in the Midwest, who possesses strong team management and leadership skills, and has the ability to communicate effectively with the Professional Golf Staff in a team effort to provide a world‑class golf experience for our members and guests. Primary Responsibilities

Lead daily golf course maintenance operations, including turf, irrigation, landscaping, practice facility and course setup. Execute agronomic programs and standards established by the Director of Agronomy. Lead, motivate, and develop a professional maintenance team, fostering accountability, teamwork, and high standards. Establish clear expectations, training programs, and performance feedback for staff. Work collaboratively with the Professional Golf Staff to align course setup, tournament preparation, and daily play needs. Communicate proactively regarding course conditions, maintenance schedules, and special projects. Prepare the golf course for member play, tournaments, and special events. Oversee irrigation systems, drainage, and water management for quality, consistent, firm playing conditions. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Be proactive in course projects and maintain an eye for detail. The Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Experience

3–5+ years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance at comparable high‑end facility. Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture or related field. Experience working in the Midwest, with knowledge of regional turfgrass species and seasonal management challenges. Proven ability to lead, train, and retain a diverse maintenance team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in working with golf professionals and club leadership. Current pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain promptly). Physical ability to handle maintenance work conditions.
