Documentation Specialist

The Documentation Specialist will provide essential support for international shipping documentation, ensuring seamless operations for our staff and clients. This role involves retrieving and managing documentation, reporting communication statuses, auditing, and filing international trade transactions. Responsibilities: Ensure all communications are completed neatly, professionally, accurately, and error-free, adhering to corporate standards for timeliness. Ensure compliance of all documentation with customer and government requirements and special instructions. Conduct a final inspection for accuracy of received documentation, verifying all charges and fields are correct according to account coordinator's instructions. Document, maintain, and update work processes and procedures related to each customer account. Maintain regular communication with office personnel to address any obstacles preventing timely processing of documentation. Essential Skills: Comfortable with data entry and working with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good communication and organization skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High School Diploma/GED required. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Previous office environment experience is strongly desired. Ability to learn various computer programs. Leadership experience is strongly desired. SAP and logistics experience is a plus. Work Environment: The position offers a cubicle set-up within a corporate office environment, complete with a personal desk and two monitors. The office is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working space. The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break, totaling 37.5 working hours per week. Currently, the dress code is casual, with a transition to business casual expected eventually. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $14.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
