Make an immediate impact
modernizing a nationwide portfolio of convenience stores. As a
Mechanical Drafter , you’ll be the hub between design, construction partners, and internal stakeholders—driving project check-ins, redlines, and CAD updates that keep remodels on time and on spec.
Responsibilities
Own project check-ins to confirm scope, inputs, and initial requirements are complete.
Create and update basic CAD designs that launch projects quickly and accurately.
Coordinate redesigns of newly acquired stores so they align with established brand standards.
Redline plans in Bluebeam, consolidating feedback and resolving discrepancies with speed and clarity.
Partner cross-functionally (design, construction, vendors) to remove blockers and keep schedules moving.
Balance your week at ~70–80% project coordination and ~20–30% CAD/design work.
Location & Schedule
Onsite at client offices — Ankeny, IA
Business-casual environment
40 hours/week, minimal overtime
What you’ll bring
Proven project coordination skills and reliable data entry/organization.
Experience with construction/design review and design-build workflows.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam (redlining & plan review).
Exposure to 3D design, Revit, and MEP concepts.
Detail-driven mindset with strong follow-through.
Nice to have
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Hands-on 2D/3D drafting experience.
