Are you a technical designer with an eye for fashion? Do you have the creative spark and technical skills to turn design dreams into wearable wonders? If you answered "YES!", then we have the perfect position for you.

Responsibilities

Develop technical specifications including measurement specs, grading and construction details

Update tech packs after each fitting illustrating corrections and style comments using PLM, Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop

Review factory patterns for shape, balance and measurements

Update patterns to reflect fit corrections

Create Grading Schematics/Maps for owned categories

Lead fit session on live model or dress form

Effectively communicate design's fit intent to vendors for bulk production while maintaining corporate standards

Ensure size and fit consistency within product categories

Create library of block patterns to maintain fit consistency within product categories

Collaborate with business partners to gain clear direction and consensus of fit intent

Foster an open communication and team environment with all business partners

Support research and documentation of fit, sizing and construction at the style/category level for competitive deep-dive fittings

Researching direct competitors and aspirational brands

Track and manage workflow and workload for own product; gather information and update all reports necessary for meeting.

Daily Maintenance of Department's shared Fit Tracker

Be the voice to help guide and influence change for better working processes

Participate in global discussions as it pertains to fit, construction and sizing standards

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, sustainability practices, and tools

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field

7-10+ years' experience in the Apparel Industry including patternmaking and construction experience with full knowledge of total production timeline

AA or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking or equivalent

Strong background working performance fabrics

Expertise in fit, pattern making and construction.

Proven track record of growing businesses, identifying trends and delivering results

Working knowledge of grading and manufacturing methods

Great collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with design, production, and sales/merchandising teams

Proficient with design software such as Adobe Creative Suites and CAD software.

Experience with operating and managing product development in PLM software

Great team player with a positive attitude!
