Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly
CENTURY GOLF PARTNERS MANAGEMENT
Position Description POSITION SUMMARY The 1st Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in managing the golf facility in an efficient, high-quality, service‑orientated manner. This position will report to the Director of Golf and General Manager.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Must partner with management to promote and operate facility in a way to drive revenue.
2-3 years of golf industry experience
Leadership skills; the ability to lead people
Strong customer orientation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Basic computer proficiency and skills
PGA apprentice or member preferred
High Volume Golf Facility Experience
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff
Trains new Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff
Monitors guest experience and takes appropriate action to assure the best customer service
Coordinates and administers the daily work schedule of the pro shop staff and outside services staff
Manages the staff in their maintenance of daily cash receipts and accounts receivable charges
Assist in developing and managing an innovative tournament program that services all members and outside play
Assist with golf instruction & golfer development programs, including PGA Jr League
Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acts as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service or golf shop shifts.
Performs other duties as required under the direction of the head golf professional and general manager.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to work well under pressure.
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
Must be highly detailed orientated.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must have excellent listening skills.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
