Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Sales Person
to join our wholesale team in New York, NY. This role is focused on managing and growing relationships with major national retail partners, including
Marmaxx, Burlington, Ross , and other high-volume wholesale customers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the off-price and wholesale retail landscape, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue through strategic account management.
This position plays a critical role in expanding the company’s wholesale footprint, maximizing sales opportunities, and ensuring long-term partnerships with key accounts. The SalesPerson will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and will work closely with internal teams to deliver compelling product assortments that meet retailer needs while achieving company sales and margin goals.
Key Responsibilities Key Account Management
Manage and grow relationships with major wholesale and off-price retail accounts, including Marmaxx, Burlington, Ross, and other national and regional customers
Serve as the primary liaison between key accounts and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment
Develop a deep understanding of each account’s business model, buying cycles, pricing strategies, and assortment needs
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Drive sales performance by developing and executing account-specific sales strategies and growth plans
Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and proactively pursue additional placements, programs, and categories
Negotiate pricing, volume, and delivery terms to maximize revenue while maintaining profitability
Order Management & Execution
Present product assortments to buyers and guide them through selections aligned with their merchandising goals
Oversee the full sales process from initial presentation through order confirmation, production coordination, and shipment
Monitor order fulfillment, address issues proactively, and ensure customer satisfaction
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with merchandising, product development, sourcing, production, and logistics teams to align product offerings with account requirements
Partner with planning and operations teams to ensure inventory availability and on-time delivery
Collaborate with leadership to forecast demand and support business planning initiatives
Market & Competitive Insight
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, pricing structures, and retail performance within the off-price and wholesale market
Provide feedback to internal teams regarding customer preferences, market demands, and emerging opportunities
Support the development of future product assortments based on real-time market insights
Relationship Building & Brand Representation
Build trust-based, long-term partnerships with buyers and key stakeholders
Represent the company professionally and strategically in all customer interactions
Participate in meetings, showroom appointments, and industry events as needed
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of wholesale sales experience, preferably working with major off-price or national retail accounts
Proven experience managing key accounts such as Marmaxx, Burlington, Ross, or similar retailers
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Established relationships with buyers within the off-price retail sector
Experience selling consumer goods, home products, apparel, or similar wholesale categories
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and forecasts
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently
