Junior Production Assistant (Podcast & Studio Production)
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013 - Onsite (DTLA Arts District)
Pay: $25/hour (*Guaranteed 8 hours paid per onsite day, even if fewer hours are worked)
Part-time: 2-3 days/week (flexible based on recording schedule)
Hours: Up to 25 hours/week (Start times can be 8am or between 12-1pm)
Contract: 6-month contract with strong potential to extend or convert full-time
Our client was founded in 2008 as a streaming service. They are Global audio streaming subscription service, available in 180+ markets with hundreds of millions of users.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Studio Support
- Assist producers during in-person podcast recordings
- Support episodic pre-production, including research on guests, current events, movies, and TV
- Help set up and break down studio sets, including backdrops, furniture, décor, and equipment
- Assist with light production gear handling, organization, and storage (load-in/load-out)
- Perform basic safety checks on equipment and ensure studio protocols are followed
- Escort talent and guests from reception/green room to studio and back
- Prepare green rooms (cleanliness, setup, crafty/refreshments)
- Provide a professional, discreet, and composed presence around high-profile talent
- Serve as a welcoming, polished point of contact for guests onsite
- Assist with basic technical setups for recordings (remote and in-studio)
- Support light video/audio editing tasks as needed
- Assist with delivery of short social or digital assets when applicable
- Coordinate lunch/coffee orders or arrange delivery when needed
- Maintain a positive, "how can I help?" attitude in a fast-moving environment
- Adapt quickly to changing schedules and production needs
- 1-8 years of experience as a Junior Production Assistant, or hands-on experience through:
- Film, TV, commercial, studio, or podcast sets
- College film programs, AV clubs, or personal film projects
- Must have flexibility to work changing schedule weekly and up to 25hrs a week Part-time
- Exposure to working on set and understanding production day flow
- Strong passion for film, TV, podcasts, and storytelling
- (Interest in shows like The Big Picture, House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones, etc. is a plus)
- Comfortable working in a studio environment and collaborating closely with producers
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and composure around high-profile talent
- Tech-savvy with basic understanding of recording workflows
- Maintain a positive, "how can I help?" attitude in a fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Basic working knowledge of Pro Tools
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to assist with studio gear and equipment
- Flexible availability to work 2-3 onsite days per week, with schedules shared in advance
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.)
- Familiarity with OBS, Zoom, or remote recording setups
- Exposure to pre-production, production, and post-production workflows
- Light video or audio editing experience
- Experience in fast-paced studio, broadcast, or live production environments
- Guaranteed full-day pay (8 hours) for each onsite workday, regardless of hours worked
- Some weekend work may occur but is not expected regularly
- Role supports two high-profile podcasts; assignment to shows will be determined internally
- This role is ideal for early-career production professionals looking to grow into long-term studio or media production roles
