Scope of Role
The Inside Sales Representative role will primarily support the channel sales and marketing departments within Tait. This person will be responsible for responding to sales leads, developing quotes, updating applicable databases, providing technical documentation for our customers, and working with the Channel Sales and Business Development teams to support their sales efforts and provide timely pricing and technical support to prospects and customers. Typical duties of the Inside Sales Representative will include but are not limited to providing support for Customer and Reseller inquiries pertaining to part numbers, quotes, and general non-technical questions in support of the Tait America's sales team, as well as sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the following teams:
Services Group
– Understand Tait's services offerings and be able to accurately articulate their value proposition to prospects and customers when inbound questions on services offerings arise.
Sales Group
– Manage and communicate with sales team on all customer and partner reseller requests for part numbers, individual product quotes, and non-technical questions. Work with regional channel and strategic sales teams to assist in identifying new business opportunities generated via inbound sales leads, marketing campaigns channel partner engagement.
Customer Support Team
– Understand sales order process and be willing to assist CSR team as needed when support is needed to fully process a quote or order.
Finance/Engineering
– Communication with these groups regarding any technical or commercial concern that might arise during the quotation process or when developing responses to customers that are more technically advantageous.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing, and participating in outbound sales campaigns
Ensure understanding of an adherence to internal company policies and procedures
Ensure appropriate internal sales KPI's, processes, and procedures are followed
Responsible for responding to inbound sales inquiries in a timely manner and routing to appropriate sales team or channel partner as required
Prepare and assist sales team with online presentations and demos as required.
Monitor and maintain the Hubspot database information as it relates to sales lead management and conversion to sales opportunities
Prepare online part quotes for Customers and Resellers when requested
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members, and department leads
Requirements
Computer skill requirements include: MS Word, Excel, and easily adaptable to other in-house software applications
Demonstrates good problem–solving skills and a continuous learning mindset
Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule with guidance from manager
Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be obtained
General knowledge and application of technical and business concepts, procedures, and practices
Interpret company policies and procedures to resolve issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner
Determine accuracy and relevance of information
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Director of Sales Contracts/Inside Sales
Involves a significant amount of interaction with sales management, operations, customer support, and marketing teams
Specific Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Business or Liberal Arts or 4 years equivalent work experience in a related field
Strong phone presence and highly developed customer service and diplomacy skills
Aptitude to deal confidently/persuively with customers
Flexibility and willingness to tackle any task
Ability to travel (when/if needed)
