Meridian Golf Club is a private golf club committed to providing an exceptional golf experience for its members and guests. We pride ourselves on high standards of service, strong member relationships, and a professional team-oriented culture. We are currently seeking an Assistant Golf Professional who is passionate about the game and eager to grow within the golf industry.
Position Summary The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team and will assist the Head Golf Professional in delivering exceptional service in a year-round private club environment. This position is well-suited for a PGA Associate or emerging professional looking to grow within the PGA Professional pathway while working in a supportive, team-oriented setting.
Experience Required
PGA membership is preferred, but experienced Level 3 candidates will be considered.
Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, POS, Tee Time Systems, Inventory Control Systems.
Experience with Golf Genius preferred.
Experience in organizing, promoting and conducting professionally run member tournaments and corporate outings.
Strong knowledge of club fitting and teaching, or a passion for developing club fitting and teaching skills.
Knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf.
Essential Responsibilities
Provides assistance to the Head Golf Professional in all facets of the daily golf operations.
Maintain PGA membership in good standing.
Maintain continuing education credits, and pursue professional growth through sectional and national opportunities.
Course Play - Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitoring pace of play while enforcing the established rules and regulations of the golf course.
Maintain accurate record keeping of rounds and guest fees.
Assist in the management of all golf related assets such as golf carts, range equipment, and electronic equipment.
Create, promote and administer tournaments for all playing groups including:
Men
Ladies
Seniors
Juniors
Monday outings
Provide individual golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with the instructional methods, policies and procedures (must have passed PAT to give private instruction).
Assist in the successful and professional operation of Junior Golf Clinics.
Provide thorough and accurate club fitting to members and guests.
Assist in Inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and specials orders including: ordering, receiving, pricing and stocking.
Assist in the oversight of Outside Operations to ensure consistent daily service.
Play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations.
Co-create a positive, memorable, and high-level service environment for all members and guests.
Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
