Job Description Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as a peer mentor having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.
National General is seeking an Auto Field Damage Estimator with strong time management skills, proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software, excellent negotiation abilities, and keen attention to detail. This is a field-based, territory-specific role, and the ideal candidate will be located in California, residing in or near Oceanside, Encinitas, or Escondido. Key Responsibilities
Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
Exhibits mastery of estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory duties.
Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is:
Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – 37.50/hour
Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – 39.42/hour
Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – 45.58/hour
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
