Position Overview

Essential Functions
Review financial aid applications, perform verifications, package awards, and fulfill other functions in compliance with federal, state, and college regulations.
Provide additional support to the EOF and Student Support Services programs in completing the verification process and posting awards to students’ accounts.
Utilize sound professional judgement when latitude is allowed in administering financial aid programs, including the review of dependency overrides and special circumstances, USAP appeals, etc.
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of Colleague or other financial aid processing systems. Knowledgeable about NSLDS, COD, CPS, and other government‑related sites.
Participate in campus events and present at financial aid workshops and seminars.
Maintain a functional knowledge of state, federal and institutional financial aid programs and their corresponding regulations, processes, and procedures.
Calculate refunds and repayments, and other award adjustments.
Perform assignments associated with the administration of designated financial funds.
Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience.
Computer literacy; ability to understand software functionality and convey understanding to others.
Ability to reason logically and analyze data; attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a cross‑functional team in an innovative environment.
Patient, resourceful, honest, committed to quality.
Ability to work in an intense environment with a diverse population.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours and evenings and weekends at all college locations.

Published Salary Range: $48,000–$51,000.
Special Instructions – Working Hours Academic Year: Monday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Summer: Monday and Thursday 8:00 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
