The Sales Manager ensures the dealership meets its sales quotas and gross objectives daily, monthly, and yearly. They will ensure that retail and fleet sales produce sufficient gross profit to meet dealership profit goals, through planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the Sales Departments. Responsibilities include: Forecast vehicle requirements and sales objectives for the upcoming 90 days. Set monthly and yearly sales, gross profit, and departmental profit goals. Work with sales staff to establish individual goals based on customer flow, closing percentages, and prospecting efforts. Recommend advertising, promotions, staffing, and compensation strategies. Prepare weekly sales plans and review daily results with sales staff. Conduct sales meetings and facilitate pre-delivery processes. Provide training and ensure adherence to prospecting and sales procedures. Review sales and profit reports with the Dealer. Maintain balanced inventory levels and develop strategies to move aged inventory. Ensure vehicle display, merchandising, and maintenance standards are met. Recognize customer prospects and ensure personalized thank-yous. Monitor demonstrator conditions and floor traffic. Implement factory standards to achieve high customer satisfaction. Conduct safety training and hazard assessments within the sales department. Ensure safety policies are followed and accidents reported immediately. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of automotive sales experience. One year in a dealership management role. Legal authorization to work in the USA. Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, credit reports, and hold a valid driver’s license.
