Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative Music Director to lead the musical components of our upcoming production. This temporary, stipend-based role is ideal for an experienced music educator, conductor, or theatre professional with a passion for guiding performers and shaping musical storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee all musical aspects of the production.
- Facilitate music rehearsals and coordinate closely with the artistic staff.
- Teach all music for the show and provide coaching to performers.
- Collaborate with the Director to schedule and structure rehearsal time.
- Work with the Director and Choreographer to ensure the artistic vision is fully realized.
- Actively supervise students during rehearsals and performance-related events.
- Perform other duties as assigned during the production.
- Experience as a music director, conductor, or music educator in musical theatre.
- Strong musicianship and teaching skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse artistic team.
- Experience working with students or community performers preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Stipend: $2,500 for the full production period.
