What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Perform complex data analysis for commercial insurance aligned with business objectives, collaborating across departments
Conduct various analyses, including root cause, cost-benefit, and performance tracking, to generate actionable insights
Consult with client groups to identify business needs, prepare findings, and present recommendations to senior leaders
Partner closely with IT to provide business definitions, data architecture inputs, and conduct User Acceptance Testing
Create and maintain key business intelligence artifacts, ensuring accuracy and logical consistency
What is Required (Qualifications):
6+ years of directly related analytical experience in a commercial insurance or related industry
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field
Superior research, statistical, analytical, and mathematical skills with a strong ability to conduct structured analyses
Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in making effective formal presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Advanced degree in a related field and/or CPCU designation
Previous commercial insurance experience
Working knowledge of R or Python
Experience with automating repetitive tasks
Demonstrated ability to shape company culture through active participation in employee resource groups or volunteering
