Funeral Arranger
NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Funeral Arranger to join our team at Chapel of The Chimes Hayward. United by a common desire to serve, Funeral Arrangers at NorthStar share a pride in their profession that extends beyond the workday. The Funeral Arranger II is responsible for providing a source of support, guidance, and direction to families before, during and after the loss of a loved one. This position also manages all phases of the funeral arrangement including the removal of the deceased, selecting and setting up funeral services to final disposition. Responsibilities
Meet and consult families of the deceased to prepare At-Need arrangements (avg. 2 per day) Conducts funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional and caring manner Obtains information to complete legal documents such as death certificates and burial permits Creates and maintains accurate funeral documentation such as contracts, orders, and invoices to receive payments. Prepares the memorial area for the family before the start of the services Carries out funeral services from retrieval of the deceased to final disposition Ensure that all federal, state, and local regulations related to the funeral industry are followed Ensure that flowers and other memorabilia are returned to the family after services Always maintains reverence and respect for the deceased. Trains all staff and strictly enforces all logging, identification, casketing, and cremation procedures Provide Aftercare to families Contribute and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) such ECHO Appointment goal setting, obituaries, package average, Reputation scores Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Knowledge of current federal, state and local regulations related to the funeral industry Current certification if required by state regulations (California Only) 2+ years of funeral industry experience, particularly in making arrangements Compensation
$20-25/hr. Benefits
