Transaction Tax Advisory Senior Manager to join our growing firm. The team helps private equity, strategic, and founder-owned clients identify tax exposures and understand key tax considerations through the transaction process, including evaluating structuring alternatives. This role offers leadership responsibilities within Weaver’s Transaction Tax practice and is ideal for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsibilities

Lead tax due diligence engagements for M&A transactions, coordinating with tax staff and other Weaver teams (state and local tax, international tax) to complete diligence reports and evaluate transactions. Guide the research and development of alternatives for structuring transactions; lead the process of evaluating various options for clients. Mentor and manage staff at multiple levels; support staffing and growth of Weaver’s Transaction Advisory practice. Apply technical tax knowledge in an understandable way to client engagements and manage multiple assignments with varying sizes and complexity. The role is transaction-focused, with a strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple engagements, particularly during busy M&A seasons. Required: Master’s degree in Accounting or related field and/or LLM in taxation CPA or CPA candidate or Bar admission 5+ years of federal and/or state tax experience, ideally with a focus on private equity or private equity-backed clients Preferred: Experience in M&A and private equity transactions Experience researching and writing technical tax issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff Strong relationship management and practice development skills Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients Weaver Benefits
