Personal Lines Senior Account Manager (55532)
First State Insurance Agency is a subsidiary of First State Bancshares, with a large backing and support network. We are a growing insurance and financial services organization serving most states across the nation, headquartered in Farmington, MO and with numerous locations in Missouri.
Make a Positive Impact The Personal Lines Senior Account Manager will provide support to producers, offer additional insight for accounts and carriers, and follow new and renewal business protocols. The role includes training, coaching, and delegating work to the team while overseeing performance and maintaining strategic relationships with carriers.
Professionalism
Engage with customers, colleagues, and supervisors on the phone and in person with a high level of professionalism and respect
Maintain confidentiality in all dealings with clients and within the agency
Manage multiple books of business with minimal supervision
Delegation of routine duties to prescribed teammates
Accountability
Document performance and work with AVP to resolve performance issues
Ensure all renewal proposals are delivered to the producer at least 30 days prior to renewal date
Review and process all assigned documents within prescribed processing times, confirming documents are true and accurate at the time of processing
Initiative
Review production reports for maintained book of business
Review and provide guidance to teammates on Proposal of Coverage documents
Ensure all agency billed policies and endorsements are processed according to procedure, following up on past‑due amounts when applicable
Adaptability
Coordinate and/or provide coaching, problem‑solving solutions, as well as procedural and systems training as needed, to any member of the Commercial Lines Department
Build and maintain a positive working relationship with team and producers, having critical conversations when required
Conduct monthly team meetings to engage team in customer touch points and document interactions appropriately

Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Punctual with a strong attendance history
High School diploma or GED
5+ years’ industry‑specific experience preferred
Must possess and maintain Personal Lines insurance license
Must obtain and maintain a professional designation relevant to the position
