The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, contributing to the financial wellbeing of customers. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections, handling transactions, identifying customer needs, and assisting in resolving end-to-end customer service inquiries. Prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience is considered suitable for candidates seeking growth and upward mobility within Regions. The successful candidate should be ambitious, adaptable, and capable of educating customers on how they can bank when, where, and how they want. Strong communication and personalized service are essential. Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services; fulfill basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, etc.) Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking relationships Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM) Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in problem resolution May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on technology and help meet financial needs Refer customers to internal experts when more complex needs are identified Follow bank processes, comply with laws and regulations, and assist in managing operational risks Contribute to achieving branch targets by identifying customer needs and advising on Regions’ solutions This position requires tracking time for hours over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is also eligible for incentive pay. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Ability to work Saturdays as needed Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions Effective in-person, phone, and electronic communication Proficient computer usage, typing, and sustained monitor attention Ability to walk/stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Preferences
One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience Skills and Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines Capability to assist customers with digital banking offerings Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to oversee large sums of cash Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills Position Type

Pay ranges are job-specific and based on market references, with variations by experience, skills, location, and performance. Minimum/median figures provided for the Metropolitan Statistical Area where the position is located. Minimum Job Range Target: $41,182.71 USD Median Job Range Target: $46,935.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: Eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan based on performance against defined metrics Benefits Information
