Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with new and current members and clients through the sale of insurance coverage that protects against risk and exposure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform the duties of an active, multi-line, licensed insurance agent, with an emphasis on selling and building an assigned book of business. Conduct client analysis in order to develop individualized insurance programs to fit individualized member/client needs. Build a pipeline of people to contact, collaborating with all Veridian personnel, community networking, and other means of accepted prospecting practices. Placement of new business and renewal policies with new and current clients, reviewing limits and coverage as needed. Provide service and claims advice when customer service representatives are either unavailable or are requesting assistance with difficult or complicated situations. Cross sell Veridian Credit Union products and services when appropriate. Represent The Veridian Group and Veridian Insurance in a positive light in all professional duties. Participate in civic and community affairs, functions, and organizations promoting a positive community image for The Veridian Group and Veridian Insurance. Perform other projects and activities as directed by management. KEY ATTRIBUTES

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Occasionally lift and/or move items over 45 pounds. Remain sedentary (seated) for extended periods of time. WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. TRAVEL
Limited travel expected. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Licensed insurance agent. 5+ years of experience as a licensed insurance agent. Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
