Job Summary: The
Electrical Designer
will support electrical design efforts by collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial, building, and automation applications. This entry-level role requires strong proficiency in
CAD software , a solid understanding of
electrical engineering principles , and the ability to contribute to design projects in a
highly organized and detail-oriented
manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to understand
electrical design requirements and objectives
Develop
electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.)
Design
electrical systems
for industrial machinery, building systems, and automation projects
Select and specify
electrical components, equipment, and materials
Ensure all designs comply with applicable
electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
(e.g., NEC, IEEE)
Assist in
code reviews and design updates
Work with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to
integrate electrical systems
into broader project designs
Identify and resolve design-related issues, providing innovative and compliant solutions
Create and maintain
organized project documentation , including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
Prepare technical documentation for
project deliverables
Perform
quality checks and peer reviews
of electrical designs to ensure accuracy and completeness
Qualifications & Skills:
1–10 years of experience in
electrical design
or a related field
Proficiency in
CAD software
such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks Electrical
Knowledge of
electrical engineering principles
and design practices
Familiarity with industry
codes and standards
(NEC, IEEE)
Strong
attention to detail
and a commitment to high-quality deliverables
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work
collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Experience with
PLC programming and control systems
is a plus
Ability to build effective relationships with
plant personnel, engineers, and vendors
