Job Title: Second Assistant Superintendent
This isn’t just mowing greens and checking boxes. As the Second Assistant Superintendent, you’re part of the team that keeps the course healthy, playable, and evolving — especially during construction and grow-in. You’ll help manage people, projects, and turf. You’ll work with budgets, equipment, and schedules. You’ll solve problems in real time and make decisions that directly impact the quality of the course. You’re not just maintaining a golf course — you’re helping build one. Your job will shift with the seasons, weather, and progress on the ground. Some days, you’ll be hands-on in the field; other days, supporting the team behind the scenes with planning and coordination. This role is for someone ready to lead when needed, eager to learn daily, and proud of doing quality work with a reliable team. About Rodeo Dunes
Where soul-stirring golf meets the spirit of the American West. Developed by Michael and Chris Keiser, owners of Sand Valley Golf Resort, Rodeo Dunes is a public golf resort located less than an hour from Denver and Denver International Airport. It offers accessibility and an escape into over 2,000 acres of historic sand dunes, aiming to establish itself as a world-class golf destination. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, with a solo debut by Jimmy Craig, the course features a sandy dunescape, Western hospitality, and inspiring views of the Rocky Mountains. What You’ll Be Doing
You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to develop and maintain a top-tier golf experience. Responsibilities include: Maintaining healthy, playable, and beautiful turf. Managing irrigation, drainage, and construction projects. Leading and training a team. Managing budgets, schedules, and operations. Hands-on work with equipment, chemicals, and record-keeping. Owning responsibilities in the Superintendent’s absence. Fostering a positive team environment. Who We Are Looking For
At least 3 years of golf course experience, willing to work hard and get dirty boots. Possibly a turf degree or working towards one. Understanding of budgets, planning, and team management, with a willingness to do manual work. Ability to communicate about turf, manage a team, and remain calm under pressure. Valid driver’s license and a positive, professional attitude. Adaptability to weather and schedule changes. Salary range: $58,000 - $60,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Why Join Dream Golf? Dream Golf, developed by the Keiser family, offers soul-stirring golf in harmony with nature, warm hospitality, and extraordinary destinations including Bandon Dunes, Sand Valley, and Rodeo Dunes.
