Job Description: Overview:

A well‑established general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure projects is seeking a seasoned General/Site Superintendent to oversee field operations. The company is licensed throughout the Southeast and self‑performs key trades including concrete, civil, piping, structural steel, and equipment setting. Projects typically include water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipeline installations.

Job Summary:

The General/Site Superintendent will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day operations on active construction sites. This includes coordinating subcontractors, directing field crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules. Candidates should have a strong background in heavy concrete, civil construction, and underground utility work. Experience with water/wastewater treatment plant construction is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all on‑site construction activities and ensure work is performed to specifications

Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and updates

Coordinate subcontractors and direct self‑perform crews across multiple trades

Monitor and enforce site safety protocols

Generate and submit daily field reports

Provide hands‑on support and guidance when needed

Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and timelines

Typical hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Some projects may require 5–6 day workweeks depending on scope and schedule
