Description We are seeking an experienced, client-facing Sales Manager to drive business growth in residential and commercial construction. This role is responsible for building strong relationships with clients, understanding their project needs, and guiding them through feasibility, planning, and proposal development. The ideal candidate combines construction expertise with consultative sales skills and has a proven track record of generating revenue in a client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, meeting face-to-face to discuss project plans, feasibility, and scope
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow residential and commercial construction accounts
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
Prepare proposals and bid documents aligned with project specifications
Collaborate with estimating, project management, and operations teams to ensure accurate project proposals and smooth project handoffs
Provide insights and guidance to clients on project planning, cost, and feasibility
Forecast sales activity, track metrics, and report on revenue performance
Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience in residential and/or commercial construction
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Strong understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and pricing models
Experience managing ormentoring a sales team is preferred
Excellent client-facing, communication, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
