
The Sales Development Representative (In-Field) serves as the first point of contact for restaurant partners, building face-to-face relationships and generating qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives. This role focuses on educating merchants about client value, driving local partnerships, and supporting business growth through consistent in-person engagement. The position is field-based and suited for individuals who enjoy direct interaction, autonomy, and performance-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within the assigned territory Introduce DoorDash services and book qualified meetings for the Outside Sales team Identify restaurant owners or key decision-makers and establish trust quickly Deliver clear, concise value propositions tailored to restaurant needs Accurately log visits, conversations, and outcomes in Salesforce and related tools Collaborate with Outside Account Executives on target accounts and follow-up strategies Plan and manage daily routes to maximize meetings and productivity Conduct follow-ups via phone, text, and email to confirm meetings Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for meetings and performance metrics Gather and share market and merchant feedback with internal teams Required Skills
1+ year of experience in outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or customer-facing roles Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or similar environments Strong face-to-face and written communication skills Ability to conduct high-volume, short, in-person conversations daily Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage field-based responsibilities Resilience, persistence, and goal-oriented mindset Ability to quickly learn and clearly communicate product value Preferred Skills
Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar platforms Restaurant, food & beverage, or local business experience
