Packaging Technician
ThermoFisher Scientific is seeking a diligent Packaging Technician to join our Repack-Labeling department in Ward Hill, MA. This hands-on role focuses on repackaging and labeling of products to ensure quality and compliance with our rigorous standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative production environment. Key Responsibilities Repackage products according to company and customer specifications. Accurately apply labels and verify correctness and legibility. Perform routine quality control checks on all processed items. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines. Safely operate packaging and labeling equipment. Report equipment issues or product discrepancies to the supervisor promptly. Complete documentation and logs with accuracy. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred, not required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills for counting and measuring. Good communication and teamwork skills. Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Willing to work flexible hours, including possible overtime and weekends. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, or move for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling small parts/tools. Work Environment Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and product scents.
