Position Overview:
The Seasonal Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing individual and small business tax returns, managing client relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate filing. This position is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of experience in tax preparation who wants to contribute to a growing firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and file simple individual (1040) and small business tax returns (Sole Proprietors, LLCs, Partnerships).

  2. Review client documentation for accuracy and identify applicable tax deductions and credits.

  3. Communicate directly with clients to gather information and address any tax-related questions.

  4. Ensure all tax returns comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

  5. Maintain confidentiality of client information and handle sensitive documents with integrity.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, especially with individual and small business returns.

  2. Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

  3. Excellent client communication and customer service skills.

  4. Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, etc.).

  5. Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines during peak tax season.
